To visualize your Yonyou project there is basically one decision to make:
You either need Yonyou to strengthen your IT resiliency with a Chinese application, OR
You need Yonyou to start learning and using one of the world's best enterprise software.
If your answer was point 1. then you need a backup application to diversify your IT and elevate your IT resiliency.
Yonyou configuration
When YonBIP serves as a backup system you need to pick one or more critical business workflows and we will configure YonBIP for those specific workflows to stand-by for resiliency events.
DB structure
Most certainly we will make sure to create the same DB structure that your current system uses, so that your DB backups from your current enterprise system could be uploaded into YonBIP when the business continuity protocol requires it.
Resiliency Drills
Usually monthly or quarterly we run BCP drills to make sure that everything works the way we planned for an unexpected, disruptive event.
In this case you can define a business purpose (workflow) that is not supported by your current IT app layer.
Yonyou configuration
We configure Yonyou (YonBIP or YonAI) to support a business workflow that is not currently covered by any systems.
Integration
We create the necessary APIs to make sure that Yonyou is inserted properly into your current IT infrasturcture.
Resiliency
Using Yonyou as a LIVE system certainly opens up the opportunity to migrate more and more business processes of your company to Yonyou by time according to your business continuity plans or any related roadmaps.
Most certainly you do have the option to fully replace your current enterprise software architecture with Yonyou. And such projects happen for several reasons:
If you are a green-field startup company
Licensing / pricing / legal issues with your current software vendor
Integration needs from your Chinese clients
etc.
An enterprise software implementation is as complex as building a house so before knowing your specific needs (the project scope) there is no way to estimate the budget, but it is safe to say that the first small but complete service of a resiliency enterprise application (point 1. above) can be delivered in the range of 10k - 20k EUR.
Whatever you current situation might be, you need to form a professional decision-making point for your management.
We have already helped others so I believe we can help you collecting all information, TCO calculations, time estimations, etc. for your prudent decision.
